The AA phone them and make them sweat!

my first post,please be gentle!
like to tell you about a little thing that happen to me last week,my AA breakdown cover comes through post.they wanted £181.50p for my wife and me for the year look on website £133.57p you get a massive discount online anyway register my membership number and all details,go back to the home page and get a quote now on web price £160.57 think hang on a mo,go on my Son's laptop same thing £160.57p,now I think I am going mad sure I saw price £133 anyway ring them up and tell the my mem.no. and they say yes £181 but I say I see it on web for £133 anyway the guy knocks £36 of straight away making it £145,so I say no can get it cheaper for same cover on RAC £139.00 and he says another Dept will ring me in next 48 hours in the mean time I'm thinking what did they do they somehow tagged my Pc or something,so I run Spybot and it has a few double clicks on there so I kick them out and back on the AA site guess what yes you are right price £133.57 for same cover.Then I gets a phone call 10 mins later and the guy offers me same cover for get this £127.00 saving £54.00 ....But what did they do can I stop this and this must happen on a load of sites like holidays and stuff when you looking for a better deal.Can we do some quick fix or do you open Spybot or AVG and have to delete all temp internet files and double click and so on?.Come on can anyone tell us what they are doing those Dirty Little Bugggers.:j
Anyway got a massive saving of £54 so it is worth calling them up if you get your renewal through the post.

I can see no reason why not. They don't ask what you do when you take out a policy. Probably best to ask them though.
The only down side is that if you call them, they send a local repair / recovery agent. You have to pay them, then claim the costs back from Auto Aid. No problem if you can whack it on a credit card, as you'll almost certainly have the funds by the time you need to pay the card bill.
I've had to use them once, with no problems at all.If you lend someone a tenner and never see them again, it was probably worth it.0
