  • Hiya Maddie,

    Before rushing out applying for loads of cards, check out Clariman's posts here and also this excellent stoozing website.

    You'll also find this stoozing calculator particularly useful.

    There were a few useful points on the stoozing.com website which were useful to me, ie;

    - when you close the card specifically ask them to let the credit reference agencies know that it's closed.

    - pay off and close all stooze cards at least 6 months before applying for a mortgage.

    -don't apply for too many cards in a short period of time because too many credit checks look bad.

    -find out the exact date that the money need to be paid back, and try to get this in writing.

    Ok, so I will stick with the 2 cards for now and try and concentrate on putting some 'real money' in my savings accounts!

    You can thank me too if you like Maddie - I wrote the Stoozing FAQ (well 95% of it). :)
