Savings for Ex Trust Deed person

I entered into a Trust Deed 6 years ago (before the Credit crunch) and have now been 'cleared' on paper from this
As my credit is still bad, I only have a current account (no overdraft) and a Debit Card only, Online savers account and Cash ISA. all these are with LloydsTSB - as they were the only bank that allowed me to open an account when I entered into a Trust Deed.
Between my wife and I we now both have new (pretty secure) full time jobs. Our disposable income is around £1200 a month after all our bills/food have been accounted for.
What options do I have save around £500 of this per month. Interest rates are not very good and it seems I have money to save at a bad time!
Remember I will probably have difficulty opening accounts with the majority of companies.
Thanks
