G & E Switch now? Do comparison sites show the price changes?

Martin advises to switch now. I use energy helpline and then go through Quidco.

Do the comparisons sites reflect the changes already? I am with Eon Price protection 2009 in the YO16 post code area. This morning Energy help line showed that five companies would give me a 10% saving!

In the case of energyhelpline it would appear not - price changes from several suppliers are shown as "Awaiting New Prices" in the site's Price Changes page.

    And this from ukpower

Very interesting, I have not looked at that information before, it is so important. Thanks very much for the link BMikey.

    Interesting.

I wonder why energyhelpline has suggested ebico will reduce electricity prices by 7.7% end of March when Ebico claim thay are being reduced by an average of 9%?

Most companies do not publish the detailed changes to tariffs in advance - they only announce an average. This advance average is useless for comparisons.

Ebico published their full detailed changes to their tariff at the same time as they published their average savings figures

 yourself. Ebico is not most.

Oh, just noticed your immediately preceding post #4. Wasn't actually directly replying to that one.

Sorry, I thought your post#5 was in response to my post#4. Perhaps it wasn't

In which case I'm still left wondering why energyhelpline has suggested ebico will reduce electricity prices by 7.7% end of March when Ebico claim thay are being reduced by an average of 9%?
