    Hi everyone.

Poor Jo_R, she must be sooo fed up. Fingers crossed that tonight's the night!

    1) Had an hour to myself after work and had a shopping spree at Castlepoint. It is a huge shopping centre and I have the misfortune to live 5 minutes away from it. I can even see it from my window if I really try, and I swear that sometimes I hear it calling to me. Spent under £15 though which is not bad considering. Got some work trousers from Gap for £6, a toy for T for £2, and a little pressie for OH's bday this weekend.

    2) Got 2 NO7 foundations from Boots for a total of £1.36. They are being rebranded so are dirt cheap at the mo, especially if you have a NO7 voucher.

    3) Packed lunch at work, and very HM cheap dinner. (Dahl)

    4) Got some whoopsied strawberries and made smoothies with them. Believe I have actually managed to get 5-a-day into my kids today

    5) Scratch x 10p

I finished reading 'How I lived on a pound a day' last night. Anyone else read it? I definitely admire her for rising to the challenge so well, and it was all very positive but didn't she ever feel fed-up and miserable?

    Have a good evening all,
    L x

    Evening everyone!

    Mixed news from me today.
The good news is one of my friends had her baby boy 10 weeks early yesterday. he's doing really well, hardly needs any oxygen and Mum has been able to give him a cuddle today!
On the downside, DH has accepted the role of executor to his former MIL's estate (she passed away last week) and the vultures are already circling. She was only cremated today. The worst offender by far is her daughter who has demanded to know when everything will be settled because she wants her money back for the funeral  As she's the one with all the paperwork DH needs... DH has said it seems obscene to be even thinking about things like this before the funeral.

    Anyhoo, today I have...

    - Not done any laundry
    - Kept the heating off for most of the day but back on now as it's gone really cold again
    - Storecupboard meals
    - Couple of surveys
    - Midweek shop at Mr T's - under budget again. Think I'm getting the hang of this now!
    - Got DH some trainers for a fiver as his old pair had started to disintegrate
    - Pottered about in the garden moving tubs around
    - Tidied up a couple of shrubs
    - Watered my seedlings - have 4 sweet pepper babies now!
    - Daily clicks and free scratchies
    - 63 days since I last bought a book
    - 63 days since I last bought shower gel, bubble bath or body butter
    - 63 days in on the clothing challenge and I still haven't bought a thing!
    - Found some road change - must update sig

    Hugs to all x

Oh Fay - big hugs to you. Is that a definite or a maybe 'will go on the market'?

We need to pledge to keep you there - we need more tales of the ice cave and strange things in the greenhouse.

Sorry to hear your news about the house Fay, hope it doesn't go ahead, with the recession the way it is it might not, but at the same time, i doubt you want the worry hanging over your head either way.
