Gold Options for Trading

Hi all,

I have been recently contacted religiously by a company called Buttonwood LLC (www.buttonwoodllc.com) based in Panama offering me services that will allow me to trade gold options. The minimum account I can get is a 3000 USD junior account and the returns look very very encouraging.

To be fair, the guy has not forced me into it and has been very patient with me in answering my questions. He also had explained to me the risky nature of this kind of investment and had showed me several contracts that I need to sign before our deal starts. I'm very tempted to close the deal so I can get on with it! But my big hesitation is its legitimacy.

Has anyone heard about this company before? Is it a legitimate company? or is it a scam? been trying to research it on the net but only hits I get are mainly links to their website.

I want to be affirmed first that this is a legitimate company before I start sending money.

Hope you can help me!

Cheers,
gold_digger

You wouldn't catch me handing over $3000 to a company I'd never heard of, in a Central American country, and that had only been in business for 3 months.

Personally I would not do it! Because lots of people are talking about gold right now, the time is ripe for scams and fake companies offering trading shares in gold, so no- do not take the risk! Buy physical gold (I'd suggest goldline.co.uk) so you know it's real and you know where it is!

Dreamweaver... thank you very much for this! Didn't know you can get this info! I checked also the clearing company that will be receiving the payment (lexingtonclearing.com) and it's also created in Dec 08... which means that it really looks like a dodgy deal.

I also checked the building administration office where they claim theire office is located and was informed that there's no such company occupying the building, which further proves the point that this is a scam!

Lol_UK, thanks for the advice! I think I'll be more careful with these things. I'm really glad I put this up here and have found really helpful answers.
