OU course grant...

Hi, apparently I registered late for my course and this could affect when I get my course grant.

I've had my computer grant, that came just over a week ago, but I can't buy a new computer until I get this course grant. The computer I have at the moment is so knackered it won't even open Word, and I have an assignment due on the 20th!!!

So was just wondering if anybody else registered late, (wasn't too late, was about 2 months before course start date) and when you received your course grant?? thanks

I'm puzzled as to why you can't buy a computer with the money you've been given for it - surely that's the point of it?

Sorry I should have made myself clear.

The computer grant is £245, not enough to buy a computer, it's intended to be used along with the course grant to purchase one.
  • I had the same problem, but did managed to get a decent laptop from Argos which was not much over the £245. I rang OU today and they said course grant should be in my bank anytime between tomorrow and next friday, hope this helps :)
