Hi,
New problem now after the inital tepid hot water problem with my Woucester Bolier.
Now when i open a hot water tap the boiler switched itself on and off and i get cold water again.
Has anyone else had this issue????
What could be the cause of this problem. There are no error messages on the bolier????
Can anyone please help???

If the green light on the facia (beside the small picture of a flame) only comes on for a short time then cuts off, Its definately a boiler problem. This is assuming you have the cross leak issue sorted with your shower. Sounds like the boiler is failing to detect the flame. Electrode, pcb, flow turbine, stepper motor. Im afraid any one of these could be to blame.0

Thanks for that.
I've got a corgi guy coming some point tomm/fri to look at it.
Very annoying cus if you keep the water demand low it's fine but as soon as you open the tap fully it starts playing up.
CH still works fine.
I agree with you it is a Flame detection problem. Only started happening once i had the cross leak issue sorted with the shower.
As they say fix one issue and find another...:))) very annoying.0 -
The only problem with the flame detetction theory is that the boiler works fine on heating mode. It may be that the back pressure from the cross leak has damaged the flow turbine, which detects when you run the hot water tap. Guess you will find out soon when your Corgi Engineer visits.
Best of luck0 -
Here is a silly question - But could the Air/Gas mixure be the cause of this problem???0

Unlikely, unless the boiler is brand new and wasnt commissioned correctly. If its a couple of years old and has worked fine until recently, i suspect a component fault.0

I had the gas misure re-set again and it seems to have resolved the issue. - For now anyway.
I suspect the faulty shower forcet has been faulty since day one and thus the boiler was never set correctly because of the issue.
Well some BO**KS like that anyway he seems to think.....We'll see if he was worth the money over the weekend.0 -
I had a problem just like this with my Potterton. It was a faulty diverter valve which needed replacing.0
