Powergen have moved me off capped for my benefit!

I'd be interested to hear if anyone else who opted for a capped tariff with Powergen has been moved back to Energy Online (Gas and Electric) without Powergen notifying them in advance.
I only found out when I noticed on the latest bill the tariff had changed. I've queried Powergen and they say that I was not getting the best discount on capped - 6% as opposed 12% with Energy Online, so they moved me back to Energy Online "for my benefit". Now I don't want too question Powergen's altruistic intent, but who benefits when they put the next round of price increases in? The very position I was prepared to hedge against!!!

Can they do that? I mean did you sign up something with the capped offer? If so, i'm sure that your signature is acceptance of their offer, and thus they CAN'T take you off it without your consent, unless they are prepared to put you back on it if price rises mean the energy online tarriff becomes less favourable - which I would have thought is very likely.
I would query it. Or maybe contact ofgem to see what they say about it - i'm sure you're not the only one.It's BOUGHT (to Buy), not BROUGHT (to bring) AND you cannot be frauded, only DEfrauded.
Please do not buy animals from a pet store. Visit your local sanctuary or centre and give a good home to an unloved or abandoned animal.0
