I've booked through Royalties a few times one of the times was a Thomas Cook holiday - generally about 10% saving on cost of holiday - your travel insurance included and you get entrance included at airport lounge as a free benefit. The staff you speak to at Royalties travel section are really good at giving you prices and are quite happy to look at alternatives and give you prices.

Sorry, my first post wasn't overly clear. I have booked with Royalties before but when trying to book this time, Royalties weren't able to offer me a discount on the price that i had seen because Thomas Cook are now being awkward with RBS and are giving them more expensive deals so that even with the 10% discount, TC is still the cheaper option.

They didn't offer to check any other prices with other tour operators.

I book most my holidays in particular flights with Royalties. IMHO I have found that the person you are speaking to varies in helpfulness. I always do a price check with them when booking any kind of holiday to do a comparison with other quotes, some staff are more helpful than others. I'd phone them and ask to look at same holiday with another company

If its cheaper with thomas cook why dont you book with them instead of rbs. Thomas cook are probably being "awkward" because so many people get quotes from thomas cook and then book elsewhere, we all want the best price but like martin lewis says when you're shopping about and playing travel agents off aginst each other don't waste too much of their time if your not going to buy from them.
