I remember a few people on here saying they were using this conveyancing firm. We signed up with them yesterday and are waiting for the initial information pack (thought it would arrive today but sometimes 1st class post is delayed). We were a bit nervous using a long distance solicitor (they're based in Norwich) but the good reviews on here, plus the £500 saving compared to a local one convinced us.
Now that you are a bit further down the line, how are you finding them? Still happy?

I'm afraid that I think they got too much work, form all the recommendations, and now can't manage! I have to ring them every couple of days, and they never returned my calls. I'm hoping to complete next week, but I don't trust that they will have managed to get the work done. I wouldn't recommend them now. But if you are with them just keep on calling!

We did go with them after all! So far we've found that they're a decent firm, although it is sometimes difficult to speak to Mr Pugh. He normally does call back when we leave a message for him. However, we've done a lot of the work ourselves to speed things along, like ringing up the the councils to find out about whereabouts of planning documents relating to building work etc. That suits me as I am a control freak and I don't trust leaving it to other people, next time I'll work out how to do my own conveyancing I think!
They're not doing a terrible job really, just not going the extra mile. We are supposed to exchange next week and touch wood, we should have everything in place to go ahead now. But you've made me a little nervous now!0 -
We were transferred from Mr Pugh to Mr Lambert, and are also supposed to complete this week. No one is returning my calls, and the only jobs left to do I can't do myself.
I will definitely do my own conveyancing in future, as long as no leases are involved. You shouldn't have to be calling up the councils though, same as I shouldn't be phoning them twice a day!
