Barclays 6.9% life of balance offer ends 28/02

Does anyone know if Barclays are still doing a low rate for life of balance?

I did my transfer to Barclaycard 6.9% lob offer earlier on this week at 90% of my credit limit, One thing that was pointed out to me was that if I missed a payment or was late in any way, then the offer would be withdrawn and the total would be charged at 18.9%...........

I have been offered 6.9% max 95% of credit limit everytime I have asked.

Had to use a couple of times when 0% card (rate tart, not stoozer) hasn't arrrved in time, mentioning no names, HSBC.

Think it depends on account activity and management.

Yes be extra careful with any payments and check your online account that payments have gone through to avoid the above.make sure DD are well before the date due as once you drop back to 18% yourll have a fight on your hands to get the 6.9% reinstated.

In short Yes.
The LOB at 6.9% allows you to put your debt on that card at a reduced rate of interest charged.
This difference may be the breathing space you are looking for to make overpayments on another debt.
As this is 6.9% for the life of the balance when you have paid off your
ie. 22% store card you can return to the 6.9% card and pay that off.
Last year Texaco did a 3.9%LOB so this is not the lowest but probably the best available at this time.
Don't forget you can always move it off the 6.9% on to a 0% card later.

My advice to anyone existing customers wanting to take advantage of the LOB at 6.9% offer, is to avoid their online option.

I had so much trouble doing a BT transfer quite recently. I had to do it whilst I was waiting for a certain 0% card to arrive.

The online option only allows you to make ONE transfer so it isn't suitable if you have two or more cards you need to clear. However, if you do it over the phone, they can accommodate for this and can also increase your limit if necessary.

But I also warn you to be careful when speaking to their customer services and to make a note of the time of the call and the name of the operator. To be fair, they are a friendly bunch but one or two are a little inexperienced to say the least.

(NB: Have just realised this is my 100th post!! Yay!!! Does anyone know at what stage you get two stars?)
