Free DVD in the times 18th feb - donnie darko

In the Times newspaper 18th February there is a free copy of the Donnie Darko DVD.

I know its not actually free but a good bargain considering the cost of the paper!!

It's not a bad movie a bit of a cult classic. I certainly would go for it but I already have a copy...

  • Is it one of those ones that you have to collect from Smiths or is it actually with the paper?

i quite like finding out what free dvds are on each weekend. i wouldn't normally go and buy a newspaper on a saturday so wouldn't notice them...... for donnie darko i will make a trip!!
i can see your point - it is just advertising newspapers, but for some of us it is useful!

  • OK I understand now, thanks, and I agree with Melancholly.

Have to say though, how is it any different from a posting saying a DVD is cheap in Tescos. Dobbiesloan, would you go to Sainsbury's out of spite?

Now I'm confused... This is supposed to be a Freebie (no spend required) board, Which means you post freebies that you don’t have to spend money on to receive. If you have to buy a newspaper then it is not free, It don’t matter what supermarket u buy the newspaper in it is still not free.
It’s like saying. If you buy a £3000 sound system from curry’s they will give you a free plug.

if it's going to get that pedantic (i would argue that a free dvd with a newspaper is miles away from a free plug with a £3000 sound system), lets avoid it deteriorating - i found this thread on another board that should make everyone happy (although it doesn't say anything about donnie darko yet ;))

    Thanks
