Big her into the 21st century and get her a digital photo frame with all her fave photos on it already.

Depends what sort of a mum she is, but on my 40th I got indoor skydiving at Airkix. Its about £35 for 2 minutes (which seems alot I know) but worth every penny!!! An experience you will never forget. Its on youtube under my logon Rhyburgh1.

For my friends 50th I got her the Jackie albums and Jackie annual! It was all the rage in our day! Think I got from Play.com. However my friend got me a spoof annual called Wendy which is kind of like a teenage mag from our era but aimed at menapausal women! It sound odd but is a real giggle!

Thanks for the wendy annual suggestion, I've just put it on my Amazon wish list, I'd like that as a fun pressie (I'm 50 next year:eek: ) kinda pricey though at £13

If funds run to it I'd also suggest a digital photo frame, my OH bought me one at Christmas and pre loaded it with lots of pics of just me :D

I spend ages gazing at myself through the years:rotfl: :rotfl:

I don't know if you've been on the freebies board lately, but Marie Claire mag has an offer on for a free 30 minute mini facial from Origins (there's also a free exfoliator but they may have run out). The facial is normally £15 and would be an extra treat for your mum.

I had one today and it was lovely.
  • Being in the same era I think all the suggestions are great but the Jackie Album or CD would be the one I would like. Sometimes mums are a bit soppy and like to spend time together rather than having loads spent on them so a good day out doing things you did when you were younger like a day trip where you went a lot as kids but you will know your mum best. Some mums are aware of the cost of things, but I would rather have the time together.

My mum wants a DS! But there is 3 of us to split the costs. Why does mothers day have to be in the same month!

I think the selection of photos from over the last 50 years is a great idea, & really doesn't need to cost much, but will take some effort to put together. Your Mum will appreciate your time & the thought you've put into it far more than anything else.
