Just got a letter from the Rozzers of intended prosecution for doing 61mph in a 50.Got caught on one of those mobile things.
Worst of it was,I was just going along at the pace of everyone else and I had people overtaking me also!
Is there anyway to successfully defend this or maybe a grovelling letter etc?
Thanx in advance.

Best to head over to http://www.pepipoo.com/ but I don't fancy your chances.

Then delete this thread before the 'I never speed' brigade arrive.
  • As above.

Sounds like you were unlucky to be singled out, but it isn't really grounds for an appeal.

pepipoo will be able to advise the best course of action!

A successful defence will involve proving you were not guilty, or that their case is sufficiently flawed to create reasonable doubt.

A grovelling letter (presumably to offer mitigation) might help, but it's unlikely, IMHO.

As above, pepipoo's the best place to ask. ;)
If you lend someone a tenner and never see them again, it was probably worth it.

I was working on the basis that they could only catch one car at a time. Maybe the technology is more advanced than i realised, or maybe there was a crack team of 10 coppers all armed with mobile cameras.

Either way please accept my apologies for i cannot confirm 100% that the others haven't been caught too!

    10 Coppers aye!
I wonder where they all were a couple of days previously whilst a gang was trying to nick the ATM machine 500 yards up the road!

Lusty, there is that guy that gets all the rich folk off, can't think of his name...

Win the Euro lottery this Friday and you could possibly then afford him. Makes you want to live in Germany and be able to drive at sensible speeds.

shock horror:eek:. are you suggesting we should all be going faster on wide open roads where there is very little risks, rather than being held to ransom every time we dare touch the accelerator pedal?
i think you will find as soon as you start to accelerate kids will be jumping out all over the place and your ability to steer your vehicle will disappear and you will end up in the crash barrier and everyone will die. DIE I TELL YOU!
