Moneysaving kids

My youngest son (who is 12 and is at secondary school now) has been coming up with his own moneysaving/making ideas since primary school. He could sell ice-lollies to eskimos this one!
Had to chuckle today. He has just arrived home from school with his own (and two other very well worn Nintendo DS's that he bought second hand) plonking them down on the kitchen table. Curiosity getting the better of me, I asked him why he'd needed three to which he replied, "Oh I rent them out on the school bus journeys for 50p a time to anyone who wants to play". He just loads a game onto his DS and then they all connect to that game via (?)wifi. It seems he has been making a tenner a week out of this little enterprise.

That is a really good idea. A few people used to do something similar at my school with hand-held consoles, but people just started renting them and not giving them back.
Another good school-based money-maker (although this may be more applicable when your son is slightly older) is to stock up on chewing gums from the £1 shop and then sell them to smokers at a cost of 50p per tab. The same goes for deodorant/body spray for smokers- anything to get rid of the smell of cigarettes.
I made hundreds and hundreds selling stuff to smokers whilst I was at school!'I can't deny the British influence on my accent and mannerisms, but I don't know the British national anthem, I didn't weep for Princess Diana and I always cheer when Britain loses at sport. That's how British I am' Constantine-Simms. :T
