Yes, they are very good and will help - they are unbiased and help everybody regardless of which side you are on. What do you mean they are keeping the money? Is it a clerical case? Is it 'stuck' in the system?

My ex says he always paid, when I contacted CSA in December they told me my ex was not paying and in January they told me that they would do a deduction of earning order, since that day my caseworker became "unavailable" and CSA ignores all my emails and when I call them they say that my caseworker is going to call me back but she never does!
Just found out that a DEO is not in place and once again they promise me that they are going to call me back, but will they???I dont think so.
This is going to be now the 4th month without any maintenance!!I just dont know why is my caseworker so "scared" of talking to me!!!!If its not CSA fault then why all this mystery?

Because they are just rubbish at admin! Seriously, I bet he hasn't paid. You do need to get onto them daily until you get hold of somebody - ask for the supervisor on the section.

my ex is not exactly the kind of guy who wants problems of this kind...we had problems in november as well and csa accused my ex straight away,he paid later on the phone and i was pretty upset and disappointed with him, after a couple of weeks my caseworker told me that actualy it was their fault and not my exs....
so i think i should believe my ex this time...

It may be stuck in the system - if the CSA have the money then they will pay it out whenever they can - there is no ploy to keep it!

Using emails to contact the CSA has come up in another thread recently. I cant remember where!

The person who mentioned it said that whenever they email the csa they get a reply quite quickly.

Just goes to show that recorded delivery letters maybe, should be the way to go after all

    Very true, however ...
Seriously, I bet he hasn't paid.

... I'm not nearly so sure - this kind of thing happened to me and, eventually, after a lot of hassling them, they 'found' the money in a holding account after swearing black and blue that it was all the fault of the former Mrs GG. Just for once, she was innocent(ish) ;)

yes they do reply quite quickly NOW the answer is always the same: "your email has been forwarded to the appropriate team and someone will contact you soon"
but guess what they never do, so to me its like as if i didnt receive any answer.

The problem being it is going into a central system and then has to be forwarded to the appropriate person. Yet another opportunity for them to " lose it " or just plain chuff it up and take ages to pass the pertinent information on.
