For a complete kitchen fit they will quote you 'true trade' rates giving up to 75% discount. The same units are supplied by MFI ( they hate it if you mention Howdens in an MFI store
)
If you open an account with Howdens you will actually be supplied with the units before payment! I hate giving companies money before they have supplied. It ties you in to possible delays, part delivery and bad service.
The units comes with the carcass's assembled and square; not flat pack. Just fit doors and worksurface.
They will come to site, measure up and draw plans etc. , with no charge.
Before anyone asks - I have no connection with Howdens. Just, a very satisfied customer who would never go anywhere else to fit-out a kitchen.
Are you a builder or in the building trade?
I went to my local Howdens and they refused to talk to me saying they only deal with the trade and I should find a local builder who could then buy the kitchen from them.0 -

I have just built one new bungalow; for us to live in. I've fitted other kitchens for ourselves. I'm not a registered builder or tradesman etc.
I think if you're doing a total new kitchen fit I think they'd accept you. They did me. I completed a trade a/c form and they took bank references - perhaps they were under the impression I'm a builder

I agree with a couple of posters above and would avoid MFI. We had a new kitchen a couple of years ago and had nothing but problems. Missing parts, trouble obtaining them, fitters not turning up when they should have, delays, delays and more delays ...Wins since 2009 = £17,600MANY THANKS TO ALL OPS0

Personally I'd avoid any of the national retailers, and try a local independant. We bought from ours a few years ago and the service was second to none, They simply couldn't do enough for us. They even recommended local tradesmen to install it.
At the time B&Q wanted around 1700 quid for the units, and then the same again to fit it. We got a better quality kitchen (including appliances) for 2 grand, and it only cost us £500 to have it fit (This included fitting the gas oven, and installing 8 extra plug sockets)0 -
