Saved £300 with a section 75 threat

Just been refunded £300 from a holiday that went wrong, booking was abroad and it took adding a section 75 (credit card companies just as liable) threat to my letters to make them realise I could get this back into UK courts, then they commented
"Thank you for giving us a further opportunity before instigating recharge procedures through ********(named credit card), which we would probably not have contested under the circumstances"

But none of that until I quoted section 75 of the Finance Act.
