OK I'm not saying this is cheap, price is £199 on this site HERE, but what I will say is that I think it sounds amazing. It's a sat nav but with added features for blue badge holders ......
More details and places to buy HERE unfortunately all same price but some people may prefer to go with a company they know that's why I added this.
BBNav is the first Satellite Navigation solution specifically designed to make journeys easier for Blue Badge Holders and those driving for them, such as their families or carers.
BBNav includes all of the features found on the best Sat-Navs but has been enhanced to provide detailed information to support Blue Badge holders including: • On-street disabled parking bays
• Disabled accessible car parks
• Local council Blue Badge parking concessions
• Points of interest to support people with
limited mobility, including:

All in all I think I'm going to save up for one as it will be a real bonus not to have to drive round and round in circles trying to find spaces in say the west end of London or other major cities and I feel it will pay for itself in the long run because it can tell you whether you can legally park on yellow lines, resident bays etc by each council, personally I think it's a must for me saves digging out the heavy mobility map book I'll be able to have it all in front of me. Hope this helps someone.

well done finding this tabunny , wonder if they do sort of download of BB stuff for tom tom satnav ? saves driving round and round .the truth is out there ... on these pages !!0

I imagine the data is in the form of a POI (Points of Interest) file of the kind that all satnavs use.
So I did a google for 'blue badge poi' and the first to show was http://www.bluebadgeparking.com/, which allows you to download POI files for TomTom, Garmin, Navman, MioMap etc.
No ideas how good it is but it is free! The same google brings up other promising sites, which I must investigate further.0 -
Looks like its POI which can be easily added to some satnavs like the garmin if you have the correct information0

Best thing it does as far as I'm concerned is finding blue badge bays and toilets etc this is invaluable also I don't actually have a Sat Nav at the moment so this is definately the one I'd go for.0

A little more reading shows that http://www.bluebadgeparking.com/ is designed to be added to and edited by users, so it could eventually be more detailed (and up to date) than one that relies on local councils' databases. Shopmobility and Radar key POIs are available too, on their other site http://www.gonmad.co.uk/.
This 'poster' gives a summary http://www.gonmad.co.uk/satnav/SatNavPoster1.pdf0 -
well a little more searching and Ive found:
www.gps-data-team.com/poi/united_kingdom/transportation/Disabled_Parking_UK.html
I hope Ive got this right. Maybe someone cleverer than me can see if this is downloadable onto sat nav (and its does have Navigon on the list!!)
