i want to get a skype mobile phone and get all

my calls this way and other calls to my other mobile number if necessary.

1 - I am thinking of using 3G technology. what are speeds actually like? I want to be able to access skype mainly but also do a bit of surfing.

2 - how do you free hotspots. clicked on martin's article but was not clear on the hotspot areas.

Get a Nokia with Symbian and 3g, install Fring, can call via WiFi using your Skype contacts list or Skype Out, and maybe use 3g (if the operator allows Skype over 3g) but the same Skype contacts list can be used to call via the mobile phone too if their phone number is stored. Fring is very neat that way.

the 3g signal strength isn't consistantly available yet, and i live within the m25 london.
This is what the mobile operators paid the government billions for years ago, but nobody has invested in an infrastructure to deliver it.
