Cleaning laminate floors

Hi All,

Could someone tell me the best way of cleaning a laminate floor?

I have used a broom, vacuum cleaner and mop, but dust always seem to be left on the floor afterwards.

Do I need to use a microfibre broom of some kind?


Also, is there a product that allows me to retain the sheen from the floor without mopping it every day?

We had one which was pretty good but that was probably down to the cloths used but I cant remember what brand they were.

Hi try cillit bang it does work. Another way is to use washing powder in the mop bucket. Soap powder is fantastic for cleaning most things. If you hoover first then mop it should bring up the dust.

I use a bit of stardrops in a bucket of hot water. Dip the microfibre cloth in and then wring it out as much as possible before wiping.

I'll be so glad when we move out of this flat because before we moved in I thought laminate was an absolutely GRAND idea. Not with two cats!
