any suggestions on which resort in Greece for myself and 7y daughter

My daughter's decided on Greece for our summer hol this year.
I have only been to Greece as a singleton with a gang of girls.
I.ve visited quite alot of the islands whilst I worked on cruise ships and I love Santorini
do you think this would be o.k for my daughter she's 7 and myself or is it too coupley planning on going 25th July.
Anyone have any suggestions as to other places we could go in Greece.

I HATE IN YOUR FACE PLACES WITH ALL THE REPS RUNNING AROUND AIRTOURS and THOMSON SINGING AND GETTING YOU UP TO DO THE CONGA AND WANTING TO PLAY GAMES IN THE DAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Although I would like there to be something for my daughter to do and maybe other children she could play with.
Thankyou

Halkidiki? Resorts like Hanioti and Sani tend to be a bit more relaxed with a lot of families/kids and not over run with reps etc
  • What about Zante?

yeah i agree zante - I've been to argassi in zante twice and i would say that would be suitable, but there maybe quiter places than that (NOT LAGANAS!!)
  • Go to Tsilivi in ZANTE. NOT LAGANAS its awful. Tsilivi is great look on internet, we stayed a Christina's apartments although you could try somewhere nearby with air con as she didnt have it. It was clean. Only noisy one night and they had one greek night - no reps at all.

I preferred Tsilvi but others like Alikanas and Alikes but i found we were near everything and Tsilivi had the best of everything but you could go all round the island. Went to Laganas for the day and it was disgusting.

Only problem with Zante is it is extremely primitive. Great night life but Tsilivi had the right balance.

It was a good cheap holiday. Other hotels let you in great place to meet people.

    Good luck

  • Thanks To You All For Replying I've Been To Zante Many Years Ago With A Greek Family I Knew Who Had A House There I Did Fing It Rather Primitive As We Were Off The Tourist Trail!!!!!!!!!!

Just Got Some Greece Only Brochures So I'll Take A Look At Halkidiki

    Happy Holidays

Stoupa is nice, a sandy beach safe swimming, very pretty .
although like anywhere in Greece it will be very hot at the time you want to go.

If you like Santorini Perissa has a nice water park with slides etc.

    Pisa Livadi in Paros.

    Agistri. (Skala)

    Parga.

My sonand his wife take their 7yr old daughter to Tsilivi and they absolutely love it

I could say i have been in every big island ( i'm greek). Last year i went to Zakynthos (Zante) , and i really had great time there. So, i would strongly recommend you Zante and Skiathos, both of them have very peaceful places to stay, and you can easily avoid places that your girl should'nt be there.

If you want to try the "Epirotiki" part of Greece, i would strongly recommend you Halkidiki, in the 2nd leg you can find really nice beaches but the resorts there are as much expensive as being in an island.
