    No, I don't need the money at the moment and hopefully not in the near future. I was only asking, because I read earlier today that there will probably be a dip around June or election time. But if the general trend will be up over the next few years, then i'll just keep it there.

    If we knew when something was going to occur we would all be very rich.

    Its quite possible that we are already seeing the correction that was anticipated some time this year.
    But if the general trend will be up over the next few years, then i'll just keep it there.

    you cant predict the unpredictable. Accept it will zig zag. Dont have all your eggs in one basket and periodically rebalance. And make sure you dont invest above your risk profile. Thats all you can really do.

  • I have several eggs in several baskets, but by far the biggest one is in a Northern Rock 3 year stepped rate ISA which I might have cause to regret if there is a significant rise in interest rates.
    Some people buy on impulse. I on the other hand transfer ISA's on impulse.
    Well not quite as I did research the subject for over a week and my impression was it was an ok deal. Anyway it's a done now, so i've got to live with it.
