    Fingers crossed for you.

We went to our new property today for only the third time to carry on putting up curtain poles and curtains (it's a condition of the lease that the windows must have coverings and there are nine windows to cover). We discovered that when the water was drained from the entire property this included the toilet so it's open to the soil pipe hence the horrible smell. The hot water is unvented though so we have to have somebody with an unvented ticket recommission the system so can't have the water on yet. All good unclean fun!
  • Good Luck!!! I had to make so many calls when I got my repo (completed the 6th March, and almost finished painint now WOO!), and we found that it was the agency that were really slowing things down, not sending out all the paperwork etc, but it all turned out ok in the end. And my figuring is it took this long for you to get this far, they're not likely too call it off/accept anything else. :)
  • Thank you for your encouragement AnnaMonkey and m_13! Guess what...? We exchanged today! I cant believe it! Completion is still set for Friday... but at least the horrible wait for exchange has finished. I will be able to sleep better tonight. Cant wait to get the keys and know that all our hard work in being persistant has paid off! :j Good luck with the decorating etc!

Congratulations :T Really chuffed for you. We got the water on today which was fantastic as we can now flush the loo. However, the hot water has no timer so another thing to add to the list!

Congrats on getting your repo, it shows it is possible sometimes, despite all headaches:D

Good luck with making it your own :j
  • Yay for you!!! Congrat!! :D
  • Well to finish off our story... We completed really smoothly last Friday and got the keys at 3pm Friday afternoon. The sun was shining, and when we entered the house we knew that we had done the right thing! Although buying a repossession is very hard work, and nail biting, with plenty of sleepless nights etc, it is well worth the effort. Thank you to all those who gave me encouragement over the last few weeks and good luck to those who are in the process of trying to buy!

A happy ending for you then . I'm sure the sun shining must help as the blossom has made me feel very springlike.
