Is a Fiesta Wheel suitable for a Ka ?

My daughter recently put a big dent in one of her wheels on her Ford Ka.
We have been looking to get her a new wheel and have been told that a Ford Fiesta wheel of the same size is suitable if we cannot find a Ford Ka wheel at the right price.

The wheel is 13" with a 165/65 13 tyre.

Does anyone know what we have been told is true ?
Thanks for your help.

Even though I don't like you from your posts on DT I'm going to answer:cool: .

Ring your local Ford dealer and ask. Much better than asking the usual random keyboard jockeys here. Sometimes common sense beats the internet.

As long as the size is the same then it will probably work. BUT, you must make sure it is exactly the same as the other wheels, otherwise the car will be unbalanced and won't drive well.

The size isn't the only factor though. A Fiesta and a Ka may have a different offset although it's unlikely. Is it a steel wheel or alloy?

Are you looking in scrap yards for a second hand one as a dealer would surely be abel to get one.

The Fiesta wheel measures exactly the same size, the four holes for the studs and the rest of the centre of the wheel seem identical the tyre is the same size. The only differences I have noticed is the pattern in the wheel and it appears to be made of slightly thicker steel.

Even if they look the same the offset can be different. The offset is the distance between the centre line of the wheel and the boss, the bit that bolts to the hub. It affects how far the wheels stick out which can affect the handling and also make the car illegal if they stick out past the wheel arches.

As I said it's probably the same offset but I don't know for certain.

Perosnally I'd ring around a few scrappies, you should be able to find one. If not put a complete set of Fiesta wheels on.
