No WAY am I doing it myself. I would normally, but these tiles are incredibly expensive. Wasting just one would be the equivalent of paying a tiler.

Will think about the tiles going under the shower - the loo is staying so didn't really want to have to move it, but if it's much better, it may be worth it.

I think it is going to need a professional tiler. The tiles have glass chips through them, which will make it more complex.

    They are gorgeous though :heartpuls:

A lot of "professional" tilers will actually struggle with these tiles, they are a specialists item to cut due to the glass content.

I strongly suggest you get a recommendation from the supplying shop for someone who has fit these before.

From the look of them they have more in common with terrazzo tiles than traditional tiles, and need to be dealt with accordingly.

I am assuming these are a resin/glass agglomorate, in which case expect to pay accordingly for a decent installation (£60 sq/m +)

You're spot on on the agglomorate

still working through the options. wherever I use them I'll get a recommended pro to come and do it - don't want to wreck them!

If you do decide on this product, you're better off with a marble installer than regular tiler, slightly differnet equipment (cutting and polishing) and a lengthier process.

As a rule ofthumb, double the installation time of a ceramic tile......therefore double the cost.

Do you have a granite fabricator nearby? £60 p/sm is a bit steep. I would say more towards £35-40 but it also depends on the coverage. My opinion is to find a fabricator, they will have the appropriate equipment to carry out the installation on-site and know exactly how to cut / fit. If they are exp tiles last thing you want is for the fit to go wrong!

Looking at it, the install should be easy. Square room, flat floor, no pipes to cut around. If it's not being cut around anything it should be quite straightforward, shouldn't it?

In fact, if my measurements are right they'll just need trimming by the width of the skirting board. Might even take them off and put them on top.

I do need some cut to tile the counter for the sink - and a hole cutting for the waste.

I'll ask the tile shop if they can recommend someone.

Thanks for all the info
