Which web hoster to go with

Hi have a website which is hosted with the person that made my website,

I don't like the fact that when I block him off my website he can still set himself a new password and get in, also in the near future I want to make lots of sites

Which hoster would you recommend, I have no idea about it at all, there seems to be so many!

I hope you own the domain name rather than the person who is hosting it as it can cause problems.


Post this on the "Techie" forum and you will get lots of helpful answers from people who know their stuff

If you're thinking of putting a wordpress blog on there at any time don't go with 1&1, they make it stupidly complex and don't have a proper c-panel. apparently hostgator have a 1-click process and seem to be recommended by lots of people - if only I'd known! 1&1 are expensive too.

wordpress seem to know their stuff and I believe they recommend their preferred hosting on their site.

if you have a surf around it seems like everyone hates GoDaddy, but I can't personally speak for them...

I use https://www.1and1.co.uk, good price, reliable, and you can host as many sites as you like!

Do you mean 1and1? I can't say I've researched thoroughly but a lot of peeps online consider them overpriced with poor customer service. And as i've noted, for Wordpress they're notably rubbish.
