just had my post removed giving away 6 , 2 for 1 cinema vouchers was deleted
saying it was against the rules which i understand but i was not doing the below what it says
'selling/trading/exchanging/swapping . This includes posting links to your ebay auctions, or other forms of advertising'
i had not even asked for money or even for the price of the stamp to post these items, just wishing to help someone out with something that is of no use to me.
but notice that in other posts 'Free tickets to Alton Towers or 2 for 1 at Zoos & theme parks nationwide and Sun holidays post's that there is people asking to exchange and swap tickets which includes giving out your address so don't see how one rule is for one and not for others?
as in the past i have also giving away Sun holiday forms and tokens and not asked for any payment just wishing to help out and as i stated before, people who i have giving these things to would say in the post 'not to be trusted or con or whatever if i was not genuine'.

MOVING THREADS FOR BETTER RESPONSES
Hi, Martin’s asked me to post this in these circumstances: I’ve asked Board Guides to move threads if they’ll receive a better response elsewhere(please see this rule) so this post/thread has been moved to another board, where it should get more replies. If you have any questions about this policy please email abuse@moneysavingexpert.com.0 -
Hi - the reason your original post was removed was probably due to the rule linked to in the phrase below. Regarding the other posts you mention then no-one should be swapping personal details at all, and if you see any please report them to abuse using the report post button. It more than likely they havn't been removed as no-one has reported them
Cheers

EXCHANGING PERSONAL DETAILS
Hi, Martin’s asked me to post this in these circumstances: For legal reasons I have to discourage swapping, buying and selling on the forum (please see this rule). While it can be a very useful way of saving money it relies on a certain amount of trust between members and as such can cause problems (and has in the past). If you have any questions about this policy please email abuse@moneysavingexpert.com.0 -
Hi
While its a generous offer, we delete these things as otherwise we have blurred lines between whats acceptable and what not.
Hope this doesn't put you off. Our rules can seem strange when you're trying to do something good as you are, but we have to be consistent or it starts to get tricky delineating whats good and not

I feel foul of the rules a few years ago as a newbie! Was doing my good deed for the day giving away vouchers but understand the reason it was removed! So I popped them on my work noticeboard and in the free ad's paper to grateful responses!:rotfl:Ahahah got my signature removed for claiming MSE thought it was too boring :rotfl:0

Maybe it is time to have another board them. If you go into lots of other threads there are loads of people sending each other things, I've been sent vouchers too. People like to be able to swap things - especially when so many people are selling the same things on eBay.
OP, ask people to PM you if interested, if you had put any personal details then the post will have been removed for your safety.
But, there are lots of people doing this on other threads so it might be worth having a board for this Martin because sometimes I also feel that giving them to someone else who might use them would be much better than putting them in the bin.0 -
There are also a number of posts where people haven't received something that is promised be it a swap or a free voucher and this creates a bad feeling which is another reason MSE stopped it via the forums.
Also a post offering this via pm is likely to be removed as well.0 -
yep this happened to me when i offered free cinema tickets via a PM0
