a friend has had it done last year. in blue!
i think it looks nasty, and the cost was ridiculous. 4.5k!
plus its dangerous in the wet, cause the company sealed it with what looks like varnish?Get some gorm.0 -
Creteprint is a disaster - ours is cracked all over! They laid it right up to the air bricks as well! DOH!!! I had to get them to block the bottom two vents of the air bricks in case water went in them - the way it was laid directed water straight at the house, rather than to the drains. NEVER EVER EVER HAVE CRETEPRINT0

Did I say NEVER? NEVER EVER0

We had exactly the same decision a couple of years back. The cost of block paving was pretty much the same as pattern imprinted concrete. My thoughts at the time were that with the concrete, you'd never get any weeds. But what if you need to lift it to get to the water main or anything ? On that basis we went for the block paving - you can lift a section and re-lay it if needs be, and you can also replace single stones if they get damaged or stained. You do get some weeds - even though there's a weed-proof membrane underneath, seeds will set themselves into the sand between the joints. But they're very shallow-rooted and easy to grub out. Overall I'm glad we opted for the block paving, but take your pick, the costs will probably be comparable.0

Honestly if there is one adice I can give is DO NOT USE CRETEPRINT. I have had a awful experience with them. The job was done poorly when I complained I was faced with intimidation. I went into teh office to speak with one of the people in charge and was send away. I had to involve the police and after a horrific few months i finally received a portion of the money they owned me.0

we have drive-cote near us, they are non slip resin that goes over existing tarmac/concrete. It is slightly pebbled effect and you can choose your colours. Had the guy round for a quote on our front pathways the other day and were very impressed with the price, we wanted it mainly as a lot less than any other replacement and our steps to the house are a risk in the winter, so this would prevent that.
Not sure if they can get to you ?0 -
Hello
I am disabled and have a very steep driveway shared with neighbours . last winter destroyed the basic , old concrete and we need a new one. I was advised that monoblocks are a0 too slippy b) would not stay on the drive as it is too steep. So looked at creteprint. No worried that it would be too slippy also. I thought with a pattern imprinted into it, there would be 'ridges' to help my car get up the drive.
any advice out there?0 -
If monoblocks were too slippy there would be a hell of a lot more lawsuits flying around and marshalls wouldn't be in business.Hello

If you got pattern imprinted concrete and needed the ridges to get up your driveway then the ridges will be worn very quickly and you will soon be needing a new driveway.
If your driveway is so steep that you are considering creteprint because of the ridges perhaps you should invest in a 4 wheel drive? Or level the driveway off and build a big retaining wall and steps.0 -
I am reading this thread with interest as we looked in to printed concrete from "Steciltech", probably the same as creteprint. After a lot of research the main issue we constantly came across has already been mentioned above, slippery when wet and moss. Further, again mentioned above, you need to ensure that all your utilities running below your driveway are updated so they do not need to be touched. If you did have a problem then up comes your driveway! Quote was in the region of £4.5k for 80 m2. One thing to note is that you are responsible for rain water running off your drive on to public highway, you will need a soak away built which also adds to the cost. In the end we opted for block paving"I think I spent 72.75% of my life last year in the office. I need a new job!!"0
