don't go in the school holidays
devon/cornwall - they have good beaches, and lots of fun farms inland to keep the kids amusedPlease take the time to have a look around my Daughter's website www.daisypalmertrust.co.uk

Northumberland/Borders there is loads to do and at that time of year it should be warm but it will be expensive and VERY BUSY in the school holidays.0

You can't go far wrong going to a place like Haven - I have got 3 little ones aged 4, 3 and 18 months and we have been to a Haven park every year for the past few years (Hastings, Clacton, Weymouth) - they always have a great swimming pool for the kids and the beach nearby. I personally prefer the Haven resorts over Butlins as I find Butlins to be more expensive and more crowded. Haven are doing offers at the moment on Early Summer breaks that are until the end of July (start of the school hols) that have got money off. As inspector monkfish says dont go in the school holidays if you want to get a cheap deal - you are better off going in July or waiting until early September.
Also as the caravans are self catering you can buy in a bit of food and do some of the meals yourselves so you dont have to eat out all the time - that saves a fortune!
Hope you have a lovely time.0 -
I'd second Haven with children that age. Our best 2 family holidays were in September at Haven sites (weather since we've had to go in the school holidays has been diabolical).
If you go for Haven, then choose the very best accommodation you can afford (in my experience). Like others said, you can save money on doing your own food etc.
Have fun!Now proud Mumto3 :j0 -
try owners site www.bookdirectly.co.uk or some good deals on ebay also ukcaravans4hire.com, far better deals than haven as owners put in extra stuff.0

Hello,
We have booked direct with the owners on a website called directcaravanholidays
.co.uk. We are going to a site called Coral Beach in Ingoldmells,It looks great for
Kids as it has an indoor softplay and entertainment. You can also buy daypasses
For Butlins, and there is a farm and seal sanctuary nearby.
The prices are very reasonable, and there seems to be plenty to do indoors.
We also took our son to Wild Duck which is a Haven site in Norfolk,he loved it
As did we! There are a lot of caravans set in the forest and we enjoyed watching
The rabbits and squirrels from the caravan. Its a fairly small site but has enough
For the little ones.
Also, have you considered a farm stay holiday always thought these looked great
A lot of the farms seem to have there own caravans.0 -
Cornwall is a lovely place to take young kids with really nice beaches with rock pools etc to play around. We have booked on this website www.self-catering-cornwall.org.uk
I would also agree that it's best to go before the main school holiday's as it's much quieter and much cheaper. We also seem to have the best weather in May and June over the last few years!0 -
