    Careful about investing in the company you work for. If it goes to the wall you lose your job and your investment.

    You will probably find that there are restrictions about when you can deal in the company as well - probably a couiple of times a year after reports are issued to the public.

    Could also be that the company is a dead duck and being milked before it goes under

    Cheers for the responses guys. We do occasionally get emails telling us we can't buy shares for the next xx days.

    Interesting idea about the company being milked. All the messages that get sent down to us are positive, but then you'd expect that to come from the boardroom. Who knows what's said behind closed doors.

    Think I'll need to do some more research before I start chucking my hard-earned at them.

    Funny that.
    When I worked for a company many years ago it was fairly clear that the more upbeat the annual meeting the lower the pay rises.

    The most upbeat meeting, where they pointed out all the future orders and how well positioned we were, was just before they instigated a 12 month pay freeze.
