Local Youths Breaking Fence - What Can I do to Prevent this?

Hi
Local youths have now broken our timber fence for the 3rd time... The fence is made of individual strips of timber all lined up next to each other (about 12cm wide per strip).
We're going to have to get this fixed again but I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions about how to prevent/stop this happening again?
I thought about planting some sort of spikey shrub/hedge in front of the fence but I don't have a clue about this type of thing! Does anyone have any suggestions?
