I want to spread my savings over different institutions - who owns who?

Hi

I want to spread my savings across the following savings companies, but I need to know that each account is fully protected. I.e. that one company doesn't own another.

The companies are:

Birmingham Midshires
Alliance and Leicester
Egg
Ing
Northern Rock
Scarborough building society

They are all separately regulated from eachother - NR you also have unlimited guarantee as it's the deep trouser pockets of HMG.
