New Acer One netbook battery problem

Had my Acer One netbook for a month or so, not used very often, however now cannot seem to get battery to charge...netbook will only switch on and work when mains plugged in, red battery light flashes continually
could this be faulty battery or charge problem...I have charged over last couple of days, approx 4 hours each day and still no change
Thanks

  • I just had the same problemwith my Acer One. I took the battery out with the unit powered on, rebooted and then inserted the battery. I did it a few times before it worked. I don't suspect the rebooting did as much as probably properly seating the battery. Now I'm charging where as before it was as if there was no battery (although the system was recognizing that the battery was there, it just wasn't charging it)

So take it out a few times until it seats properly. Worth a try...
