Where are you wanting to fly from, rough dates etc for when you want to go. American Airlines seem to put up quite decent prices. Just have to shop around. Post up your details, departure airport, dates etc and perhaps someone could help.

Put in the following to American Airlines website, 3-17 October 2006 (arrove back on 18th) leaving at noon going and coming back, average fare of £344 per head. Not too bad. That's going from London Heathrow. With taxes that works at £816.40 total and the timings weren't too bad.

BA might have a sale, they seem to have had a lot of offers recently.

The problem is that fairs go up and down all the time, the only way you can get a good deal is when booking on a flight that is empty, when offers are on or good ASAP. Again though with each point if you say book the day the flights come out (normally 1 year before) if they have not filled up they will reduce the prices but then again if they have a sale on you could of lost out again.

It's luck of the draw though if you want to fly with a set airline try signing up to their offers, or try joining companies like travelzoo.

    Good Luck

BA generally have a sale in September.

You have to pick your dates carefully in October because of half term, when demand goes up.

Try an agent like https://www.trailfinders.com they might be able to do a flight+hotel deal, you only have to book 1 night to get the cheaper airfares, known as 'inclusive tour' fares. They have some hotels on their website.

  • thanks.

i am flexible with dates and will try to avoid half term.

AA looks good, but i may wait until the next flight sale or keep my eyes peels for newspaper offers!
