I had a nil assesment and asked for a reassement mid January.
they sent my ex a letter, he ignored it so 2 weeks later they sent his employers a letter - I know they had it as he contacted me about it. They havent responded within the 14 days they get and the csa are going to chase it up. from what my ex was saying it sounded like they gave it to him to deal with?
Anyway what will happen if his employers dont comply?
anything I can ask to be done? hopefully its all sorted with them but I want to be prepared with a bit of knowledge
thanks!

Hi tamsin1982 - What would happen next is that the case would be referred to the criminal compliance team - They have a team of investigators who can go into the company and demand whatever information they need - They have the power to enter any premises at any time. They usually call the company first and from my personal experience the threat of them visiting is usually enough to get the information supplied. If the employer gived the NRP the form to complete they are again commiting na offence and can be prosecuted for this. Ask the case officer has the case been referred to criminal compliance and ask that that is done.Comp Wins 2011 : Cant wait to start listing everything:j:j:j0

Hi
Just to let you know, what they say they are going to do and what they actually do are two different things! In my case, I told the CSA last Feb my exes employers then again last May as he had moved to a different branch within the company, they gave him chance after chance to supply to information, they also I believe sent a compliance officer in in the December after much chasing from myself , they finally got the exes salary details this January, 11 months after I had first informed them of his employers details. Unforunately he left the company 2 weeks prior to them receiving the details, so we are back to square one again, I have given them details of his new employer and off we go again. The timescales they have for chasing, ie 14 days then chase again, they dont actually seem to stick to and seem to give both the employer and the NRP chance after chance.
DOnt mean to dishearten you, but you have to keep on at them else they will do nothing! Good luck0 -
Keep calling every week to get an update - if you feel that it is taking too long, make a complaint.0

will be giving them a call tommorrow to see what, if anything has been done. Im hopeful its now been sorted but will send my ex a text reminding him that arrears are building up and his employers can get into trouble if it hasnt. I think thatd be enough to get things moving again0

well i called tuesday morning to find no one had called exs employers to chase things up so the lady i spoke to said shed get on to it an call me back later, I called in the afternoon an was told callbacks are within 48hrs so just to wait, I called this afternoon and the lady dealing with it is now off til monday and there are no notes to say if she did or didnt contact his employers!
Im not expecting a call monday and as ll be at work will have to wait til tuesday to call them again - after which I will be writing to them as it will have been with exs employers for 4 weeks!0 -

Sorry to laugh but this is typical of the fools at the CSA.
Forget phoning
Deal with the fools in writing only....read the following and act upon it....please!
Never deal with the csa on the phone, ensure that everything is put in writing.
Tell them, by way of a letter that you do not wish to deal with them over the phone. Send it by recorded delivery
Never phone!
Always write!
When you write to them send EVERY letter by recorded delivery and print off the delivery reports from the Royal mail website!
If they phone you....never speak!
(once they have introduced themselves, DON'T be rude to them, just put the phone down) They supposedly record some / all phone calls for staff training purposes so....dont be rude.
Keep copies of all communication, yours and theirs, don't lose anything!
Build a paper file! Do not lose anything
If you have the time scan everything into your pc so that you have a backup of your paper file
Believe me......you may eventually need a paper file. Phone calls will get in the way and conversations can be misunderstood on both sides.
I have never spoken to the csa, and my paper file is HUGE, but I do not regret this decision. In fact building a paper file, and backing up everything to my PC has been the more than worth the huge effort on my behalf0 -
Ive had someone call me back today and the assesment has been completed!
Now my ex has made some payments to me since I asked for the reassesment but not as much as the assesment has come back as. Its being kept as direct pay and I was trying to ask them what I do about the arrears and I never really got an answer!
Its not going to be easy to sort out as my ex and I have no contact!
Do I just text saying to change the so to the new amount and pay arrears as an when which will prob be never?0 -
You can ask for the extra and if no reply you need to go to the CSA to ask them to collect for you - or you can forget them - choice is yours.0
