Did anyone not put anything re: gifts in their invites?

    We did a wedding list but didn't put the cards in the invites. We didn't want people to feel they had to buy something. We wanted the people to be there, present or no present.

    Those who asked us or close family about a wedding list were given a card with details (this was most people). Those who didn't ask gave us cash, vouchers or a present not on the list. All of which were much appreciated as we got some things we wouldn't have put on a list.
