Carpet fitting - typical prices?

Can anyone advise the typical price for having a carpet fitted (per m2)? I am sourcing my own carpet, laying the new underlay myself and already have sound existing gripper in place.
I've just been quoted £2 per m2 which seems very good value to achieve a fit & finish that I cannot otherwise do myself, but I don't know if it is too cheap (if you know what I mean).

What i did was order it from Carpetright and got a carpet fitter on it's own to fit it. He charged me £40 for stairs, landing & spare bedroom (10x10). Carpet right wanted £95 (they add £25 to stairs on top of the sq m cost).0

Allied carpets quoted me £2.65 per metre a few weeks ago. This is for level areas, not stairs.0
