How can I find out who insures me?

I need a replacement cover note for my van insurance but I can't remember who the insurer is.

Any ideas where i'd go to find out?

Check your bank statements to find who the instalments are paid to or if you paid it in one go by credit card your credit card statement

Sadly both are unavailable to me until i return to the UK which will be a while and I cant remember which card I paid with anyway.

While writing this I just had a call back from the police station who I asked if they could tell me who insures me. Whilst they couldn't reveal the name of the company they were able to give an invaluable clue which has got me the info I need.
