Hi Emily, I see where you are coming from. I know you have just moved house so I am guessing you need to be putting things away still. I try to do certain things every day - so I always do the dishes, wipe the kitchen worktops, empty the bin, give the loo a quick wipe (with a disposable wipe as I am lazy!), ditto wipe the sink - kitchen and bathroom, and collect any cups/glasses that have been left round the house. Because I have children I also put the WM on every day, and hoover - but I bet you can get away with this less often. I then try and do at least half an hour on something else - currently I am working on Pigpens list for that half an hour, getting as a minimum level 1 and a basic clean on the room of the day. After a few weeks of this you should be able to move up a level. If a room is especially grim then I make it the room of the week and do another half an hour a day on it. This way the long term mess gets cleared - or you put a box of unpacked stuff away. Try setting yourself challenges? I mademyself unpack a box a day until it was finshed. If you want to feel that someone else is suffering with you then go online and see if anyone wants to join you for a half hour challenge. Celebrate what you have done rather than getting down about the things you haven't done. Hope this helps.

Is anyone up for a HHC 16.45-17.15?

Me please!! Just need to locate my list... it's moved while I was in my meeting... and decide what to do.

Old bed has been decluttered to a very prompt freecycler with a miniscule car, so I hope he gets back to basingstoke without the bed making a bid for freedom!

ETA - list checked. I'm going to finish the kitchen so I can get one star, and then start putting the bedroom back together so I can clear the other rooms!

    See you later!

Someone was asking about window cleaning earlier. I'd love to know how to wash the top half of my windows without taking my life into my own hands! The old sash windows have been replaced with PVC and only the bottom half opens, to wash the outside you need to sit on the sil and reach up with a long armed cloth not good with the main road under you and being as high up as I am! If I tried to do them from the outside I'd need a firemans ladder/cherry picker and a harness:rotfl: :rotfl: Any suggestions?
    .

can't be of much help as I'd also like to know the answer to that question. I know you can get some kind of window cleaning gadget that is magnetic so you can do the outside from the inside. Has anyone used one? Are they worth getting?
We don't need to do it perfectly - good enough is exactly that GOOD ENOUGH.
