I come home from skittles and the thread has jumped 5 pages ! Is this normal ?

Yes... sadly ;) . That's why Pigpen has banned us from chatting during the week. Updates alone are enough to make the thread hard to keep up with! Evenings tend to be busy as everyone who works full time is catching up on their flying and posting as they go.

Got a reply to my freecycle post two minutes after it went up 'Hi, is this still available' ... I know things move fast, but it's the middle of the night!

Off to bed now... see you all in the morning!

As a result of falling off the wagon mid way through last week, I had to tidy every room today and did so much washing and putting away.

My little girl is nearly four and her room is dreadful. It's quite small (not really actually - about 8ft square) and she has a lot of stuff - I'm constantly decluttering but it's still clutterful and it's taking me at least fifteen minutes every day to tidy it. I'm considering getting rid of her bookshelves which have storage boxes on and just replacing it with a higher pile of storage boxes. I don't know what to do - I've chucked out so much I'm down to chucking out Christmas presents, puzzles or her best teddies. I've bought the paint for a refresh but it won't really help that much.

i think online dating is just blind dates for the 21st century - just take a deep breath and go for it of course you'll meet a few losers but just make sure someone knows where you are etc - i met my dh on a blind date 20yrs ago and wouldn't swap him but there were 2 or 3 right ones before him - i thought my 'friends' were out to get me at one point.

I met my wife through a friend. There were 3 of us she was meeting that night at the [ub (meeting as a group) and I was late and had come straight from work stressed as we had just had an OFSTED (many moons ago!) Apparently I came in looking lost and she decided that if I wasn't the last one she was going to talk to me anyway ! I claimed i was 6ft when chatting to her (only 5ft 6) and we hit it off straight away. Engaged after 5 months and still together 14 years later- (married for nearly 11.)

ETA - Quillion (and anyone else who is interested!) - haven't dealt with the email issue today. Sender has received one very business-like work email from me today (from a generic mail box... I have 7 email accounts at work... not my own) when he was copied in on something he needed to know about. There have been a few dramas in the office while I've been working from home, so I've been way too busy to deal with anything else, and I'm on leave tomorrow. I guess I'll have to deal with it on Wednesday if he's in the same office as me then...

Good luck for Wednesday then x x

    hope you are all well

It's been a nightmare here tonight. My cousin came over and decided he'd just nip to B&Q and pick up the stuff to my ceiling and just start it tomorrow night instead of Saturday so it's been all hands to the deck. I have made a start on tomorrows list but not sure how much good it will do when the rest of ceiling comes down!

JennyBee have you tried Infacol for your little one. My eldest had terrible collic and it worked wonders. I used to walk the floors with him for hours at a time. 1 day of Infacol and he settled. I found sitting him up slightly when feeding him helped too.

    Morning All

I haven't caught up with the thread so I hope I haven't missed anything important. Went to bed with a migraine at 6 last night so did absolutely nothing - I'm now making a cat costume to wear today!

    Hugs to all

Casleigh - why is your light on at this time of the morning when you didn't finish cleaning until 1am? Have you not been to bed yet?
