I've had my premium bonds since the mid-1970s and have won... absolutely nothing.
Okay, I only have £5 worth (minimum purchase was a lot less in those days), but still, I live in hope of an unexpected jackpot!0 -

i have £1000.00 in premium bonds and if i put that amount into a high intrest account i would get less than the amounts that i have won for the year in question.
i would get £50 interest but in general i win £50 maybe 3 or 4 times a year - less this year so far though0 -
I have had my bonds since I was a baby and the last time I won was nearly 20 years ago. My kids have been bought £1000 each by their grandparents - the older ones haven't won anything for years but the three younger ones win £50 each a couple of times a year.0

I had one bought for me when i was about one, 39 now not won a penny.. but you never knowLife is about give and take, if you can't give why should you take?0

I've had a bond since 1960 (admittedly only £5) and £2000 since 2008 and never won a brass farthing.

Me and hubby have 30k each (max allowed) and normally win about £1.5-2k per year between us - in todays climate with interest rates so low this is better than we would get in a savings account and is tax-free. I used to have a few hundred in premium bonds myself for a few years and never won anything from them so I do think you really have to have a fair amount invested to stand a chance of winning reguarly, but it only takes one bond invested to win the jackpot so if you can afford it its kinda like buying one lottery ticket you can use over and over again - good luck
