Energy Saving Bulbs that can be Used with Dimmer Switches?

When/If will these become available? Our lounge has a dimmer switch and I do really like to have it
Is my only option to change to a flip switch?
1) So is anyone developing these? If so, how long off reaching the consumer are they?
2) If not, what is the cost to change from dimmer switch to flip switch? As if it's any more than a tenner it's not really worth it, is it?
But I would like to do my bit for the environment
Thanks!

these seem to have them
...but I share your pain, they're not cheap to buy - I need 3 candle shaped ones for the dimmer light in the living room and 4 spots (don't need to be dimmable) for the kitchen, it's going to cost me a fortune.0 -
We used these http://www.thelightworks.net/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=37_73&products_id=872 BUT as it now says very clearly on their webpage if you only have one bulb in the light circuit, you need to either get a 20w dimmer switch or get a light fitting that takes two as most dimmer switches are 40w. We found out the hard way as the bulb exploded in the middle of a horror film - perfect timing:rotfl:

I changed 4 dimmers to normal switches and got megaman candles bulbs for living room and dining room and two for the 2 bedrooms that have dimmers it was cheaper that way to do it. However you can get megaman dors dimmerable bulbs but they are not cheap compared with normal low energy bulbs although about 30% more than the megaman candles bulbs I got0

I got mine from iconiclights.co.uk. I bought a 6 pack of Megaman dimmable candle bulbs for my living room. Very happy with these and saved 10% off their single priced bulb!!!0
