Do you receive back, all that you send to the OR? (statements, payslips)

Hello everyone, I have my OR interview on the 5th march and recently recieved my "welcome pack". The OR office has asked for lots of documents, twelve months bank and credit card statements, payslips and so on.
I really would like everything back, do they return everything?

I would imagine you will get them back, after the OR has dealt with them. They will make copies for further reference. Standard civil service procedure.

I can't remember what I sent to the OR, but I don't think I got them back, then again I didn't particularly want them back :)

I got nothing back, didnt want it, but mine had no payslips which it is a good idea to keep (also p60s)

best of all, once discharged, a self-employed BR (ex-BR) may dispose of ALL business records, boy did i enjoy that!

I specifically didnt shred some documents, lets see anyone steal a BRs ID and try for credit cards!

Blimey. Have I got to keep all them dusty business records till discharged. The Oh was looking forward to burning them as was I. If you get a BRU/O do you have to keep them longer? Glad you mentioned this MMCA;)

After my F2F last week, I did ask the OR as I have sent him a P45, some mortgage documentation, some things I would like back, not statements though. He said he has to keep them until I am discharged. But if I really need something, he would send it to me but take a copy of it.

If you really want to keep something then I would say to the OR you don't have that information - he can get it at source anyway.

I wouldn't have thought they are in the habit of sending that stuff back.

They will send back things if you ask for them. We needed bank statements and they took copuies for themselves and sent us the originals.
