Care those on this tariff as part of the discount ends on 1/4/09-down for me from 18% to just 10% & therefore a hike in bill of about £70. I think the current version 12 works out similar to the V5-it has a lower discount at 15.5% but also lower unit prices to compensate. Not sure of the impact of end of March reductions but it seems to make sense to switch to V12 shortly. Also I believe the EON Elec 9% price reduction does include onlin tariffs.

Does anyone agree?

I am in a similar position, If you move before 01/04/09 you will lose the discounts. You get a letter off them telling you you are going on energyonline but it doesn't tell you the price on the letter. when you go to your account page & look at the switch options you don't see it there either.
I will wait till 01/04 the do some comparisons & also have a look at quidco to offset things.

I was waiting for this letter. I'm going to wait for my next bill (1/4/09) then jump ship, whilst collecting some Quidco cashback on the way.

Just to confirm the discount on the Energy Online Extra Saver (version 5) tariff does change on 1 April 2009.

There are replacement online tariffs available with different discount rates and prices depending on the area you are in. You can check these on our website or through the comparison websites.

If you are unsure give us a call.

The 9 per cent reduction in electricity prices does include our online tariffs.:)

Does the EOL V5 extra saver finish on 01/04 or 31/03.?
I can't find a product in the switch area that is just called called energyonline as stated in my letter. Btw I live in South Manchester.

Version 5 of the Energy Online Extra Saver tariff comes to an end at midnight on 31 March 2009. After this all customers on this tariff will be transferred to our standard online product.

There are other online tariffs available but I am unable to discuss individual products in detail as it is against the rules of the forum.
