wanted any guiding badges for camp blanket

Hiya

My daughter is a rainbow and as part of her journey up to brownies she would like to start a camp blanket.

I was wondering any MSEs may have any rainbow / brownies / guide / guiding cloth badges old or new they would like to donate to my daughter to start her on her way.

I maybe wrong but I thought the idea of a camp blanket was for the badges your daughter had earned. I know my childrens camp blankets have all the badges they have earned from the section below what they are now in plus any they have collected from going to Jamborree's, camps etc.

Yeah that's what my girls were told.

Camp blankets don't really get used 'til they are at Guides and by then they usually have loads of badges from Rainbows and Brownies.
My girls also put badges on it that we get where we go places, though sew on badges are hard to find.

p.s. you're not allowed to give out personal details on MSE forum anyway, so even if they were needed you couldn't have done it.;)

She went to a camp fire in the region on Fri night and they were all asked to start a camp blanket. All sections were given 2 old badges to begin with.

To be honest its going to be more of a hobby for her than anything else.

I am a guider, I will have a look in my boxes at mums and on my old camp blanket..

The younger girls are now enocuraged to start their transition to Brownies from rainbows as soon as they are 6 as they have a little workbook to fill in on their transition up, this is also the same for Brownies up to guides..

She isnt 7 till April but has started her "Pot of Gold" before xmas. The camp blanket is a little extra the DC has asked all the rainbows moving up to start.
