What TV should I buy for Sky Sports HD?

Right, we want to get a new 42" TV to watch football on. Actually sports. We love sport! We've got a max of £600 to spend and I want it to handle motion well. Plasma or LCD? It's all so confusing !

We're getting Sky HD in a few weeks so we're in a position to buy, does anyone else have any really positive recommendations or suggestions about what we should be looking for in the spec or, even better, a good suggestion for a 42" to buy?

Thank you for your help... I'll be pressing refresh regularly for your answers!

For a blur free picture in fast movement scenes like sport, Plasma is the best option.
  • Get the new Panasonic 42PX10 - I believe digital direct have this for £640. Will be better than the PX80 (which is replaced) and is the latest model.
  • Yes but you have to set a limit somewhere. That might be the theoretical max. My max was £1300 for my new tv, then I bought a Pioneer LX5090. As its only £40, and the new model, I thought I would post it.
