Life insurance and funeral plan help please

Hello everyone, can someone help us please.
We are seeking advice on what to do here; my husband is 60 (and still working) am 50 we are looking for life insurance and a funeral plan. The more we look into this the more we are getting confused. At the moment we have nothing as what we did have was cancelled with our past relationships. We are renting (so no requirements for a policy that would be attached to a mortgage). We are both very fit and healthy with our own make do gym at home, non smokers and non drinkers. Which companies do you advise us to look at which would give us the best benefits at our ages.
With very kind regards.

I would 'advise' you look at all of the companies via an IFA

Internet coverage on whole of life assurance plans is weak. Mainly as it falls under investment class authorisation (rather than protection and most sites only hold protection licence), its low profit (internet sites like to cherry pick) and many providers still use paper applications (internet sites like electronic ones) and many providers dont make their product available to quote portals to the public (mainly as there are usually different options which can confuse).
I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA). The comments I make are just my opinion and are for discussion purposes only. They are not financial advice and you should not treat them as such. If you feel an area discussed may be relevant to you, then please seek advice from an Independent Financial Adviser local to you.

Thank you for taking the time to explaining why the internet for such insurance in confusing, now I understand why we should make an appointment to see one, and to why online was a minefield to find what we require. Many thanks
