not really - they want to grow upwards - I don't think it will work very well.
look for seeds of "tumbling tom" or "minibel" http://www.chilternseeds.co.uk/chilternseeds/211/default/Just call me Nodwah the thread killer0 -
You could grow them in a novel way, google "upside down tomatoes"
However I tried it and couldn't get it to work properly.
Biggest question here is. Why do you want to grow moneymaker?? Horrible, if you are going to grow a tomato at home, you want taste and some variety you can't get in a supermarket, there are loads more deserving tomatoes available.Freedom is not worth having if it does not include the freedom to make mistakes.0 -
Some varieties can although I dont know which as my neighbour has grown some that way last year only very small toms though0

Don't bother with Money Maker if you want flavour! They wont work in baskets either. You need a tumbling variety for baskets.0
